Hello, just wondering if anyone knows of a good livery yard in Chesterfield? Preferably around the Dronfield area, with a stable, grazing all year round and a school. Thanks in advance!

Not sure how far this is from exactly where you are , but can recommend - lovely people and a very nice spot.

I have no idea what it's like as a livery yard or any connection to it at all but went to view a pony for a friend to buy, at Summerley Stables in Apperknowle-looked a nice, tidy yard.

I have no experience of the yard but when I was looking for livery stubley hollow farm in dronfield was recommended to me but unfortunately a little too far away from where I am. There's a website called livery list where you can search yards by location. Hope that helps :)

May be wrong side of Dronfield for you but there's Bradway Grange (Bradway/Holmesfield), though turnout in winter is limited (as it was at Stubley in my experience).

My yard may have a space coming available, but it's a 10 min drive from Dronfield. Also have a friend who's yard has spaces, part or ful livery only at Apperknowle. PM me if you want phone no's.

I used to have riding lessons at Stubley Hollow back when it was a riding school - its just a livery yard now though! Stubley is fairly central in Dronfield, has an indoor and outdoor and plenty of grazing, although a few people have said its not great for turn-out in the winter (I've moved away from the area so cant vouch for it!).

Dont think there are any other livery yards actually in Dronfield, that is the only one - all others are on the outskirts. I have heard good things about Summery Stables, Apperknowle is towards unstone on the way out of Dronfield in the direction of Chesterfield so not too far away.

Another near Unstone is this one - http://www.birchhallfarm.co.uk/default.html

Looking on their website I think this is where I used to keep my loan horse or at least very close by, and they have availability so worth a look?
