Livery in Derbyshire/South Yorkshire- Please help!

Hi there,

I'm looking for livery yards in and around the Hope Valley, on the Sheffield/Derbyshire border or in Sheffield itself.

Seems like we have searched every place possible and desperate for some inspiration! Preferably as close to Hope Valley as possible as don't want to travel too far (half hour max), but will consider in Sheffield as we go there every day.

At this stage we would consider anywhere- no specific facilities other than grazing and stables although school would be great :).

I'm on a lovely DIY livery yard on the western outskirts of Chesterfield. Full at the moment though I think.

I know of a few others too, off the top of my head, ummm.... The livery at Cordwell is supposed to be nice, Lydgate Farm at Holmesfield is nice too. There's several places in Barlow. Dunston Hole, also another place in Dunston. Stubley Hollow at Dronfield.

Thats great thanks. I will have a look at potential ones in Barlow- I looked at Cordwell but they're full at the moment :(. Its a start anyway!
 
You're welcome. If I think of any others I'll let you know. Also have a look on the notice boards in Irvings and Hoofs, Paws & Claws.
 
There appears to be one called Gatesgill Livery at Tideswell which must be fairly close to you.

Also one called Barber Anne which I would imagine is about 20 mins from Hope on the way into Sheffield

Was Anne Barber, she passed away a few years ago.Still up and running its called Farnova,Shorts lane,Dore, Sheffield. Has an indoor arena , bridleways nearby with a little road work, the old No was 0114 2362899 may still apply.

If this is still open.... I rented a field next to their driveway for one summer, and I can say the hacking there was second to none. If you don't like road riding then much of it was up bridleways, but they led to open moorland. I can't think that much will have changed there.

If your horse is good in traffic you can also ride into Ecclesall Woods, and right over the the bridleways in the Mayfield Valley. You can also get onto the moors near the Round house at Ringinglow. Miles of wonderful scenery!
 
just watched a youtube video the phone number shows the same as above, liveries for 30 so maybe vacancies or at least get on their list they have spent £300 k so every thing should be good.
