Livery in Exeter or Cullompton area?

Not been on the forums for a while so, hi again! :D
Looking for somewhere in the Exeter or Cullompton area. Mine all live out so only really need grazing and a store room although it would be nice to have at least 1 spare stable on the yard that I know I could use for emergencies (*touch wood* I won't need to :))

I got a Welsh Cob, Mini Shetland and a Shire x Welsh D

Any help would be much appreciated!

Gingerlands is very close to Cullompton. Yards nearer Exeter are Newhall, Rollestone, Upton Pyne, Hitts Barton, Ford Farm, Oaklands (riding school), hilltop (also riding school). All offer different types of livery and prices vary. Newhall only do part or full livery but I think most of the others do DIY. I looked at most of them at one time or another and let's just say some are ok and some ...... Are really not. Will not say anymore on here, there will be others that share their personal experiences I'm sure. I tried 3 of these when I was living in Exeter but fortunately I know have my horse at home again and don't have to cope with livery yards (not a big fan, can you tell!?) :rolleyes:
 
I will PM you OP coz one of the places mentioned is one to deffo avoid like the plague.

If you're local, have you looked at the noticeboard at Town & Country supplies (now countrywide shop) over at Crannaford? They've often got adverts up there or you could put one up yourself.

Also a good source is Sargents Feed Mills notice board. They're at Tipton St John. PM me tho' coz they're not all that easy to find IMO.

Also, a bit out of your area ........ is Jorrocks on the A3052 just after the Donkey Sanctuary travelling eastwards; Mole Valley at Cullompton have a noticeboard too.

Will keep an eye out for you.
 
Mill Farm in Kenton (just outside Exeter on the Dawlish Road) was advertising recently. I used to be there,along with another forum member, and we were pretty happy!
 
Gingerlands is close to Cullompton and is a really nice yard - professional without being stuffy and friendly without being interfering. I moved my horse there after having a less than optimal experience at another yard in the area, and couldn't be happier.

Yard owner is superbly sane, runs the place as a business instead of a hobby and is an excellent horsewoman.

They don't do full DIY, minimum is DIY + turnout if that makes sense, and they can be out 24/7 in summer.
 
Not sure........ but think Natalie Santon has a yard out near Broadclyst Forest way??? Sorry haven't got any more details, or a contact no (used to have Natalie's mobile but don't think its current).

OR (a bit out of your area) there's Otterdene at Venn Ottery, just off the B3180. Nice school, but not huge, but unsurpassed hacking. Not much turnout tho'.

Have been looking in the area myself for the wife's horse so any information would be greatly appreciated. I've posted regards Oak Tree Farm and had a couple of replies but nobody that has actually liveried there yet. I'd appreciate you'd have to PM any specific information regards yards it might be best to avoid.

we are looking for 2/3 stables ad grazing either livery yard, private yard, or even rent a small yard for sole use. must be in/ 5 miles of cullompton, devon. would like on site water and electric.
