Hi All

I'm considering moving livery yards. Not that my current one is terrible, but there are a few issues. I'm wary of the 'grass is always greener', but thought it might be worth seeing what else is out there.

I'm looking in the Ilminster / Chard / South Taunton area. Ideally assisted DIY, though full DIY might be possible depending on location, or part livery at a good price.

I'd love shared turnout in a settled group, with the option of 24/7 in summer / good weather (i.e. there are other horses staying out 24/7 for company), though I would like use of a stable if needed. Would need access to a school (ideally with lights), and good hacking.

Does anyone know anything that might suit?

Thanks
Laura

Lucky I saw this, I live in Chard!

Dovecote stables is the place to be. Fantastic place!
matress flooring, hot/cold hosing, rug washing, beautiful new yard, on site dressage instructor Sam Twyman who teaches people who want to improve their schooling on his spanish and andalusian stallions. He is chard (towards taunton way on the back roads)

If you google dovecote stables you will find the yard.

If he is full then try Amanda Taylor @ cricket st thomas, Google event rider amanda taylor and her site will come up. She is absolutely lovely.

Thanks VictoriaEDT. Dovecote does look lovely, but it doesn't sound like shared 24/7 turnout would be possible. Might have to save up for a lesson on a schoomaster there though!

The one at Cricket St Thomas is absolutely great, sounds like the hacking would be wonderful, but possibly a little far away (wrong side of Chard). Still, good to know it's there. Might have to try the drive a few times and check the distance.
