Does anyone know of any livery spaces in the West Berkshire/Hampshire border area. I am moving to Burghfield and am seeking either DIY assisted or part livery. Large school, good turn out and hacking essential. Also available to work part time at yard if necessary.

Any ideas much appreciated.

Hi,
Welcome to Burghfield, sorry can't help out with yards as I have my own place.
I'm just down the road in Silchester.
I know there are some in Silchester : Clappers farm and Silchester Farm
and Amners Farm Backed end of Burghfield towards Reading, thats where I get some of my haylage from too Chris Webber : http://www.amnersfarm.co.uk/livery.html

This is the local riding club they probably will know more places: http://www.tadleyridingclub.co.uk/homepage.aspx

Anyway good luck hope you find somewhere nice.

I'm in Pamber Heath?Tadley but lucky enough to keep mine in field by house. I only know the names but nothing about the places, The Croft & Church Brook Farm - good luck - (PS if you need to sell or buy anything we run equine table top sale in Pamber Heath regularly - next one Sat 11th June) :o

Church Brook Farm is quite nice, also Amners Farm is near, although on site hacking rather than off road as its on a busy road.

Sadieb could you pm please details of the tack sale 11/6

Thanks for your replies. I have looked at some of your ideas already but have not explored arond the silchester area yet. Can't believe how hard it is to find livery spaces around here. Most of the places i like are always full!

On with the search!

Hi welcome to the area, we are on a yard at Padworth which is small with a school but no assisted, we all help each other out, PM me if you want details. Not far from us is a larger yard that belongs to Peter Pond called Home Farm. In Ufton just a couple of minutes from Burghfield is Ufton Green Farm, Carol and David are lovely but it is basic though Carol will help with rugs and bringing in and out etc. They have an indoor school of sorts (wouldn't jump in there) and I believe they now have an outdoor school but have not seen it.

If you want more upmarket then there is the Croft, in Padworth though dressage orientated.

If you want numbers for any or more in depth details then PM me. Perhaps can find something on your route to work from Burghfield.

:)
