I desperately need a yard as near to J39 M1 as possible for my youngster and mare who will be put in foal next month. It must have a decent arena but can be DIY or part, I can take my own groom.

I have been everywhere I can think of and nowhere has room for 2 horses. I need to move my mare asap as YO has decided that he doesnt want her on the yard, but thats another long story.

If anyone can suggest anywhere then please please let me know, or if anyone knows of any land for sale then that would also come in handy.

There are loads advertised on the notice board in argo feeds at penistone - mostly around north barnsley area but I'm sure there were some out towards wakefield and huddersfield. Give them a ring, they're really helpful and may read some ads off the board for you. Hope you find something

I'm moving on Saturday to a different yard but there is only space for me at the minute. Two horses are for sale but they have been up for sale since before christmas. The yard is no way posh though - has a restrictive indoor and a small outdoor. I could let you know when they get sold but that is anyone's guess.
The place I'm moving from (which you know about as I messaged you a while back) would therefore have a space, but only one (maybe more than one if some of their schoolings are due to go back) but it is full livery only.
I had the same problem as you but just couldn't find anywhere diy/part for one horse near where I needed. There seems to be loads of great places but over the otherside of huddersfield, towards bradford and holmfirth.

Hi there - sounds like you're not having a good time at the mo. PM me with details if you want to.

Anyhoo there are at least 3 spaces at our place that I know of! It might do you temporarily until you find something nearer to where you want? It's certainly not ideal for foaling but as a stop gap in the meantime?

You know the facilities we have. We're still on the winter turnout regime which means one day in, one day out. Usually move to days out around late April/early May for about 2-3 weeks and then 24/7 turnout until Autumn.

Have followed some of your threads about Gin's impending motherhood - just wondered, presumably the additional weight she'll be carrying throughout pregnancy, won't aggrivate the back problem?

Good luck and let me know how you get on with your search.

G

Edited to say we also have Josie Howarth from Manor Grnage coming to the yard once a week and she's started so many youngsters I've lot count - might be helpful to you with Bertie?
