Hi there - I am desperately seeking advice as to where to keep my horse within close proximity of Mile End/Bow in East London. There is a yard in Leyton but it has a very long waiting list. Am desperate! Thanks!!

Hi there. There are lots of yards with good access to off road hacking in SE London, Bexley and Sidcup which would be a 30 minute drive from Bow. I have heard good comments about Chase Park in Sidcup and I would get personal recommendations before moving a horse to any yard in London. Don't know Essex side of London I'm afraid. I'd drive as far out as you can to get good grazing and hacking. Good luck.

Thanks a lot - it's such a bummer that the traffic is just so bad in London! There seem to be some really good yard within a ten mile radius but in London traffic that could take an hour! So frustrating!!

I know what you mean about the tunnel, I live in central Greenwich so get on the Blackwall tunnel road just a bit further down. I know the traffic is bad in the morning rush hour through the tunnel, but I'm not sure if it's bad in the evenings?? I can get to my yard in Sidcup (right up long narrow lane) next to Joydens Wood in 20-25 minutes and the traffic is always flowing fine even in evening rush hour.
