Eh up m'ducks. Anyone know of a decent livery, DIY and reasonable turn out & grazing in or near this area. Our current location has had a few issues which we can hopefully resolve but have decided to start searching for an alternative. I share a horse ( or 3) at the moment but am thinking of getting my own once the weather perks up. I wont be able to keep a horse where i am currently because of Lack of space and the grazing is very poor.
Any and all advice gratefully received :)

There doesn't seem to be a lot..
I've had my ear to the ground to find some recently but can't find anything.

There is a yard as you come into Barrow from Cotes, just before the roundabout and the new housing estate.. but I'm struggling to find out anything about it!

I think I know the one you mean as I've noticed it driving past. I'll try to find out who owns it. Got a friend who lives in Barrow and she might know. If I find out anything I'll pass it on.

as far as i know about ^^^^^^ that yard at cotes, its not a bad yard, has an american style barn, nice grazing, a school but must say its tiny.

Im at seagrave and quite like it, we have nice big stables, good summer and winter grazing. good help on hand from owners if needed and a nice decent menage which isnt olympic size or standard but its sufficient. reasonable rates i think as well. PM me if you want YO's details.

There is also a yard in Swithland, schools are crap but hacking is great!! Like easily the best round here!

There are a lack of yards round these parts with decent hacking and schools.... :)

Do you reckon we can use this part of the forum to advertise for sharers?

We did a three hour + hack on Saturday up past the reservoir. Lovely area and had not ridden there before. Too long though as had a very sore derriere by the time I got back, having had to walk most if the way because horse has a problem with stifles at the mo. Loved it.

Hello East Mids people :) I'm now a Yorkshire person so shouldn't really be trespassing into your thread but I used to live between Sileby and Seagrave and I miss it sometimes. I'll leave you all now and get back into my Yorkshire region :o :D

Ha! Yes get you gone back North!

Guilty too... :o know Sileby and Seagrave well as born in Loughborough and 'did' pony club then polo in Leicestershire/Rutland...

*sneaks back south to Banbury*

Thats where I normally go hacking. Bridleways are awful at the moment so it's all road work.

Now be off with you :D
