Livery near Hartpury College for September 2013?!

Hello

I'm hopefully going to Hartpury to study BSc Equine Science starting in September 2013 and I am lucky enough to have my own horse....who shall be coming with me to Uni :p

I know Hartpury has it's own yard where it can offer DIY for its students however my horse would benefit from a more 'relaxed' yard - he can sometimes get a little excitable and maybe the busy, busy yard at Hartpury would enhance this! :rolleyes::rolleyes:

So I am looking to find a livery yard (or even a private yard) near to Hartpury College, GL19 3BE - as close as possible would be best although I do have a car, I would prefer it to be within cycling distance!

Ideally I am looking for a yard with reasonable facilities - ie a good menage, biggish stables (17hh oldenburg) and good year round turn out! Preferably I would want DIY or assisted/part DIY - I am happy to do yard/ridden work etc (and can provide references) so could possibly work at the perspective yard if that's an option?!

If you know of any or could pass any info on I'd really appreciate it!

If you go to Gloucestershire Horse Riders facebook page and ask you will get loads of suggestions, its regulary asked and there seems to be regulary spaces offered too.
 
Was also going to suggest Hfd equestrian - but also check out Herefordshire horse riders group on FB as someone was advertising Hartpury livery on there a few months ago :)
 
Hartpury have another, smaller and more relaxed yard in Maisemore. I kept my horse in Ashleworth on a farm (so not many facilities) but I do remember hacking past quite a few yards with facilities Cross Farm and Stonebow farm. I am sure a quick google will show up a few!

I visited a couple of months back as was meant to be heading to Hartpury in September (now deferring a year). Only five minutes drive from the college, lovely yard with ménage and all year round turnout during the day. The boxes are in great condition, good size with automatic waterers. Also has a solarium! My girl will be heading there in 2014 for sure, hoping it will have space.
