Looking at possibly buying a colt, planning on keeping him as a stallion. I was wondering if you guys know any good DIY or part time liveries (maybe even full time) nearby, I’m willing to drive out an hour. I’m not trying to spend more than £200 a month, could you guys suggest a place? Thanks x

Er. I’ll answer just in case you’re serious (if you are, sorry for the disbelief!) - there’s absolutely nowhere near London for £200 a month. Possibly if you’re on the edge of London and drove out you’d find DIY for that, my old place was £220 but more like £400 with hay, feed and bedding. But the London proper yards are 1k a month about, all full/part livery.
Apart from that, any yards equipped for a stallion will be way, way over £200. If you are looking to buy a horse I’d have a think about what you want to get out of it and revise expectations and your budget.

On the edges of North London you could get pure no frills DIY for that but it wouldn't include any hay and bedding or services. Unless you could go twice a day you would need to pay for some services and bear in mind in winter you might be expected to bring in at a time that doesn't fit in with work.

Plus most yards don't take stallions and the ones that have the facilities to manage stallions tend to be the expensive ones not the basic ones.
