I'm currently spending 1 hr a day and over £50 per week travelling to and from the yard my horse is stabled at, and feel like all I have time and energy to do when I'm there is muck out. I'm not finding enough time to ride which isn't fair on him, and frustrating for me. My husband is also fed up with me spending all evening every evening up the stables whilst he's sitting alone at home, and I'm constantly stressed he's going to give me grief when I get home if I stay a bit longer to squeeze some schooling in. Understandably, the combination isn't looking good long term for any of us so I think the only option is to look for part or full livery closer to home and preferably, on the way to/from work.
Does anyone know of any friendly yards offering full or part livery local to Balsham, Linton, Abington, or Fulbourn? It would need to have a good sized ménage, turn out and stable big enough to accommodate a 17.2h gelding. I've enquired about Prestige in Castle Camps but they're pricey and I'm weary I haven't heard anything positive about them through word of mouth.
