Hello, i am looking for a livery yard that does either DIY or part livery near Keighley, west yorkshire. I have 2 mares, one of which is retired, who i enjoy hacking out with and doing dressage. Just looking for a friendly place, where they will be safe!
Thank you!

try googling...... there are a few in and around Keighley.
We have a horse at a brilliant yard in Burley in Wharfedale, but it depends which side of Keighley you're on. Also try Addingham Moorside, there's a livery Yard at Swartha and it's close to a bridlepath. Silsden Moor has a couple of yards too, but I can only vouch for the yard my mums horse is on.
One of my mums friends also does DIY Livery at her house on Addingham Moorside, although not sure if she's got any space as she only has two or three at a time at her home address

I saw these in the meantime:

Hi

I know that most of the livery yards are full at the moment. Truewell, mentioned above, is full livery only. The place where I know there are several vacancies is Farfield which is out towards Bolton Abbey. Buckstones is closing down. Aireview might have some vacancies so you could try them.

If you are in Keighley then have a look in the local tack shop (Tack Rack in Crosshills) or at Whitakers feed merchants up Oakworth Road as people advertise there.

I will have a scout around and get back to you.

Hello thank you so much for your replies! Im living in east morton, and going to be communting past Otley every day so anywhere around Burley, Addingham and even Silsden would be fantastic. I will pop into the tack shops at the weekend and have a good look too. Would there be any chance of getting some contact numbers for any of the yards as i cant find them on the internet....!
Thank you again!

Hi

From East Morton you could look at the livery yards at Eldwick or Baildon or Wilsden.

Phone numbers:

Moorside Equestrian Centre Baildon - 01274587849
Glovershaw Livery, Bingley - 01274566925
Ravenroyd Livery farm, Bingley - 01274510520
Ford House Farm Equestrian Centre, Baildon - 01274584489
Ling Bob Livery, Wilsden (we used to keep a horse there, very nice, indoor and outdoor schools - can't find the phone number. Try Googling it!

Happy hunting.

If you are going from East Morton to Otley every day you will probably use the moor road over past Dick Hudsons which will drop you into Otley through Menston.

This will put you very near to Otley Chevin. If you drive around the Chevin you will see loads of yards due to the great hacking. IMHO much better than being near Keighley (sorry to those living there)

Farriers are good people to ask, they know most of the yards in an area

Yes, our hacking is diabolical, much better near Leeds............
