LIVERY OR PRIVATE YARDS GLASGOW

Hello all - can anyone help?

I'm looking for a new yard for my horse - either livery or a small, private yard and want somewhere that has all year turnout, that is clean and well maintained, reasonably priced and that preferably has some others in it who compete/hunt etc. I am a very experienced rider and have worked in racing and eventing yards and have a lovely, easy going horse that is currently living on a private yard in Stewarton but as I am based in the southside it takes about 30 mins to get there and is just too far when working full time and going every day! Open to ideas as would consider moving house to be somewhere where my horse is more accessible.
I'm a sociable, honest person and will fit in easily to any new yard.

Have you tried Equi Ads? I'm in the north of Glasgow, there are a few yards round about here, might be too far for you though. Off the top of my head are Hazelden or Ingliston nearer you?
 
I'm at a yard in Airdrie that currently has spaces although not sure if that's too far of if the new M74 extension makes it relatively quick and easy to get to?
 
hiya, im at a nice yard outside strathaven. if that area isn't to far from you i know quite a few nice yards. im in east kilbride and its 20 mins from me. theres a lady travels from pollockshields xx
 
East Middlebank , near Dalry sounds your sort of place, it was £80 per week two years ago, walker, two schools, jumps, hacking, good stabling {BHS} Clair Pearson competes SJ and is good rider and instructor.
Worth looking at but not sure how handy it is for you.
 
aimsymc - strathaven or ek are possibilities, any decent yards u know of?

East middlebank in dalry looks great but just too far unfortunately...

HArd finding a decent yard thats not v expensive near glasgow...or is it?

whereabouts in the south side r u?
ingliston don't do livery and I'm not sure if there are spaces at hazelden. there's a few out towards kilbarchan and one in milngavie too
 
hiya, im on a nuce yard called high kype nice quiet yard! also west kype farm it has lots on riding club etc goes they have website.
 
ALL - thanks so much for all your replies and PM's and info, definately food for thought.

Many of the yards look brilliant but are just too far away. I currently drive 30 mins each way so looking for somewhere about 15 mins away from Newlands ideally.

Anyone know anything about either Maidenhill in Newton Mearns or South Cathkin Farm at the Cathkin Braes? These are two I have found less than 10 miles away.
