Just been offered local livery for my lot, at £20 a week grass livery inc. hay and £25 a week DIY (grazing & stable) inc. hay. It's extremely local - walking distance - but there is no school...... What do you think? Thanks
 
Very reasonable. Go for it.

To give you an idea of comparison.

I pay £20 per week DIY - with stable. And then £7 a week on top for haylage.
 
If you don't need a school then definitely go for it. That seems very reasonable

I pay £100 a month DIY (all year turn out and stable), plus £7 per week haylage. But we do have a massive outdoor, an indoor, full set show jumps and huge cross country course! dont know if i could do without a school in winter!
 
If the grazing is good with plenty of space and safety wise it's good, I'd go for it! They're not making a fortune out of it if they have to maintain it properly and besides, if you have no travelling costs there's that you have saved.
 
Local livery here at a good yard with indoor school is £174 a month inc haylage, prices are just about to go up though.

Sounds cheap to me!

BTW SN are you still on for a coffee this weekend. I'm free Sunday, I could come to meet your gang or you could meet mine. I am not scary!
 
I'll be paying £45 p/w DIY with haylage cost on top!!! I know...I must be mad but there's such a lack of yards with decent facilities locally so I'm being forced to pay the high price!

OK, fair enough. It's just that it is a bit more than I pay now, but instead of doing 40 odd miles a day, I'll only be doing 14 if I move them there..... YO is also mental, just like me!! We were on the phone last night for nearly 1 1/2 hrs!!! I'd also be the only livery!
