livery prices

That, to me, is part livery - everything done apart from worming and exercise.

We went to a yard locally to look round at their p/l package, which was the same as this; they charge £85 a week for it. For the full livery it's about £120 a week!!! Not a huge yard, either. Quite humble really.

£70 is very cheap, I guess it depends on your area.

ETA: I pay £650 a month and that doesn't include exercise apart from the walker.

seems very reasonable, depending on where you are. if you factor in the cost of the actual stable, bedding, feed, hay, and then labour I doubt they are making much money..

So what you actually get for your £70 per week is as follows..

Muck Out stable (no bedding)
Hay ad lib
To and bring in, I guess to include rug changes?

What about facilites? Farrier visits etc? Do they arrange that for you? Do you get anything else for your £70?

that is cheap - we charge £65 a week for 5 day part livery - 2 days DIY. I am just about to put it up to £70 a week because of the increase in feed and bedding. If it was 7 days a week it would be £90 a week

Sounds very reasonable - I was paying £60 per week for stable/grazing/feed/turning in/out / changing rugs & had use of outdoor arena with lights (not brill but at least it was there) & hacking not bad. Basically everything except the riding / worming / vets. Only left to get nearer to home as moved house.

I suppose what you get for your money depends on whereabouts you are in the country, but it sounds a lot to me.

It certainly isn't what I had always understood full livery to be - I would have expected it to include feed, grooming and riding?

That's what I have and I pay £95!!! So no, that's not too expensive at all!!!!

but the man likes me.

If you are getting hay and bedding with that and they have facilities (arena), I think its cheap

Minimum price for all in DIY is £40, so you are paying them £4.29 per day to muck out and bring in.

I am going to a yard on full livery where they do everything apart from ride and and I'm paying £98 a week which includes feed and bedding. It is more than I was paying at old yard but the facilities are amazing so can't grumble. would say £70 is cheap depending on facilities

It doesn't sound that bad I suppose - where I work I think they charge £83pw and that includes mucking out, am and pm feeds, turn out, bring in or walker if no turn out, bedding, haylage and feed. That's for 5 days a week.

I pay £390 a month for full livery, everything included except exercise, farrier, vet. The yard will bring in and hold for farrier, vet etc. We also have a floodlit school and excellent hacking.
