Have had him on DIY at yard with big Sandschool, stable, 24-7 t/o and 300 acre farm.. that was 140 a month.

Now have found a DIY with stable & 24-7 t/o no school but access to 700 acre farm.

Out of interest what do you pay? I find it quite interesting the way prices fluctaute through out the country!!

I pay £70 per week, per horse, for full livery. That includes everything except riding and tack cleaning (sadly!) We have a school, off road hacking and all year round turn out. I do live in a relatively cheap part of the country though - my friend pays double this in Hertfordshire.

I pay £45 pw DIY livery (incl stable & haylage, 24/7 turnout if required in summer but restricted winter to 4 days). Also have free use of great outdoor school, cross country course & show jumping field in summer. You can also pay a retainer of £25 pw to have unlimited use of the indoor school.

I pay £248 a month for horse and half that for pony (DIY).

We have floodlit all weather, solarium, power show, massage rug, rug dryers etc etc

i have a similar set up to the yard you describe... excellent turnout and beautiful old brick built stables. hacking over a 4000 acre farm all with big wide grassy verges around the fields.
i pay £20/week for each horse, get haylage included and they will bring in/turn out for no extra cost.

I pay £22 a week for internal stable, grazing (tonnes of grazing - really well maintained fields), indoor sand, outdoor sand/rubber (both 20x40). We have access straight onto bridleway and xc course next door which we can hack to along the bridleway. All feed bedding is extra.

I pay £60 month per stable and individual paddock. Yard has BE cross country course, indoor school and hacking accross salisbury plain! It went up last month and thats the increased price! Its no wonder I keep buying more horses!

I will be paying £20 a week in winter and £15 a week in summer for access to large stable, 3 arenas, good hacking and 50 acres of grazing.
Straw and hay are extra

Price varies on the size of the horse, so now im wishing i went for a 12.2hh instead lol.

£145 for DIY, including all hay/straw stable and turn out in good grass paddocks. This also includes hay put otu in the fields for the horses over the winter.
We have 55x20 indoor (£2) with mirrors and brand new surface or 60x20 outdoor with lights. Plus little jumping paddock, lunge pen and farm rides.
Summer 24/7 turn out is about £88 a month with all the above included.

I pay £17.50 per week for 2 ponies and 1 horse, live out 24/7. use of stable and shed for storage is free. use of outdoor rubber/sand arena is limited to twice per week but also free! We pay for all bedding and feed. Hacking is rubbish around here. Boo hoo. Have access to about 40 acres of grass land.

I *think* I pay quite a lot but tbh, it's the best yard in the area and I've been there for 13 years and I love the people, they are like my second family and I know that my horses are in the best care. I dread ever having to move them tbh.

I pay £278 a month.

That includes all feed and hay.
During the week it includes turning out, bringing in, any rug changes etc etc. The only thing it doesn't include is your horse being excersised but they will do that for £5 an hour.

At the weekends we are basically DIY which can be tricky sometimes if you want to get away from the horses and have a life (lol) but they are always happy to help you out.

we have 2 schools. One indoor 20 x 40 and one Olympic size outdoor one. we are spoiled in that respect. The only thing I would LOVE to have which we don't is hacking. it's just a housing estate basically. If we had woodland or something to hack in, no doubt the price would go up so it's swings and r's really.

I pay £17 a week for 2 on 24/7 365 turnout, one stable and grass school. No tackroom so tack comes home but do use a small stable for hay and feeds.

I pay £12 pw for internal stable with storage, electric and water, all year turnout, no school but access to acres of off road hacking.

£15 pw per horse for DIY

On a working farm..good grazing, rotated fields. All year turn out - no restrictions as to times but only 24 hours in summer.
Worming programme, menage, off road hacking. Own feed room. Hay/straw direct from farmer at subsides rates.

no restrictions on vet/farrier/trainer etc.

Assisted DIY if needed and holiday livery cover.

I pay £44 per week for stable +£15 for hay.
Feed is extra but they do feeds. I have started doing evening feeds as its easier thank asking someone else to read the list properly.
Cant get to hacking anymore because of Dual Carriageway.
No turnout in Winter
Limited turnout in Summer one day we get 5 hours another day we get nothing randomly according to show schedule

Use of Arena when no lessons can have half an arena when lessons in other half (long arena) but some instructors glare and you cant lunge.

I am just wondering which of you posters to move in with.

I pay £45 per week DIY - this includes stable, all year round grazing (24/7 if wanted), 2 all weather schools (one with a few SJ's in), horse walker, morning feed (own food but yard will give to DIY horses at same time as the livery hroses), haylage and hay. I an in Herts and it is quite an expensive area so I think what I get for my money is good.

£20 per week for DIY livery. We have to do everything ourselves and get our own hay/bedding. We have free use of the menage and can manage our own fields. The stables are private and belong to a family who own a big house that they are part of

Blimey, I'm definitely at the expensive end of the market but I'm in an expensive area and its pretty comparable round here. Mine is £100 pw in winter for part livery and £60 pw in summer as he is out 24/7 but I keep my stable on a retainer (handy to have somewhere to park him or if I do want him to stay in at all).

Having said that yard is lovely, people are lovely and I'm very happy there. Have free use of giant outdoor menage with excellent surface, good security, people on site 24/7, good grazing, free use of lunge ring. Also have access to equissage, horsewalker and solarium. Hacking isn't fantastic - we're on clay so can be boggy but otherwise is fine.

The ned loves it and thinks he's died and gone to heaven :-)

Currently I pay £130 pm for Lu - for DIY but no grazing so spend about £14/28 p/w on hay for field and stables etc, £110 for Grass livery for River but its just a field no storage or facilties.

Will be paying £38pw each, for stable, 24hr grazing for one, in at night for other, massive school, hacking round farm, cross country jumps, lunge pen and ok hacking...

In Surrey near the M25 though and turnout is tight around here, hacking pretty poor and its quite expensive - I think I'm getting a bargin!

We pay £80 a month to rent a 3 acre field, stables and huge barn, We are the only ones there and there is no school, few bridlepaths and barely any grass in summer, mud bogs in winter!!!
We pay cheap as have 3 horses but have to feed hay all year round. If we could afford to we would move them but cant afford it in the current climate.
