I wondered if ppl could help with some research :) :)

What do ppl pay for there livery and what does that include?

If you have services such as mucking out, turn out charged individually, what do you pay for those? Or what would you be happy about paying?

If you buy your hay and straw off your yard what do you pay for those?

There are millions of threads on here if you run a search!

Currently I'm on part livery (some would say full minus exercise) which includes 24/7/365 care, feed, hay, 2 x shavings, grooming, very good facilities incl 2 outdoor schools/3 indoor, xc, hacking, turnout. £120pw

Previously on DIY, stable/grazing/outdoor school £30pw + extras at £2.50 for TO/BI, £6 muck out

Thanks :) I have done abit of a search but im just trying to get some feedback on one thread so I can easily email the link to my livery yard owner

I'm on DIY livery and I pay £10 per week per horse.
For that, they get all year turn out on two fields totalling 6 acres (I only turn out during the day in the winter though but the option is there if I wish), electric in the stables and tack area. Tap outside my stable providing fresh water.
My horses are turned out free of charge in the morning including change of rugs before going out. YO has also brought them in for me when the weather has been awful, and I've been stuck in work, also with no charge.
I buy my own bedding in but I get large bale haylage from the YO for £30 a bale :)

Full livery on straw £340pm - £345 wth shavings.

Turn in/out, muck out, hay , water, make up feeds and feed, also incudes sugar beet, change rugs

- everything really bar grooming and riding

Indoor school, outdoor school, lunging school,

£10 a week including morning turnout!!?!?!?
Same here is £220 ish a month!!!!!

WHERE ARE YOU??!?!?!?!?hahaaa :)

I pay £22.50/week per horse for stable, turnout field and use of all facilities. I buy my own bedding. Hay or haylage is available from the YO - I pay £2/bale for 2009 hay she wants rid of, then for 2010 hay it's £5/bale, and between £12 and £17 for adlib hay/haylage depending on size of horse/how many nets a night. Not sure how much she charges for straw.

Turnout or bring in is I believe £1.50/day. Not sure about mucking out as I never use that!

DIY at £30 per week includes use of menage, turnout and stable. Hacking is a bit rubbish though!!

Extras:
Bring in/Turn out: £2 including rug changes and feet hosed & picked out
Muck out and haynets, waters and feeds done: £5
Other extras like tack cleaning, lunging, vet and farrier attendance, bathing, plaiting etc have charges too :)
Ohhh i forgot we have to pay £1 for the menage lights per hour. We unfortunatley cant buy hay or bedding off the yard but one of the liverys buys in haylage in bulk and we all chip in and it works out at about £40 a month (which at the moment is a lot cheaper than our hay bills would be!)

Thing is on DIY you have to remeber someone is coming in from outside to do all the jobs (me in this case!) and it costs them in fuel as well as having to make some sort of a profit (I do have 2 other better paid jobs too) from attending the DIY yard :).

I'm in South Wales, right at the foot of the Black Mountains. I only have to turn left at the bottom of the lane to my yard, ride about 1/4 mile up hill and the gate to the mountain is right there. The riding is fantastic! :D

I know I'm very lucky where I am. It's absolutely lovely, and it's just me and one other girl there, with no chance of anyone else joining us as there are no more stables available.
Most importantly, my boys are really happy. They settled in immediately and totally love being there. :)

We are very lucky. £200 per 4 weeks for full livery, including everything except exercise and grooming. Second horse costs £140 per 4 weeks for same. Sugar beet and chaff included but any other feed extra. Ad lib hay and bedding included. Use of indoor school.

£35 per week all year turnout, inc hay/ haylage and straw, fantastic riding and we have a large equestrian eventing centre 5 mins ride from out stables. x

I pay £29/week for stable and field, Hay £4.75, Straw £2.50 Full livery is £9/day excellent hacking use of two schools horsewalker is 50p a day when you use it. They also feed breakfast for everyone and if you want dinner fed you just pop feed bowl on tea shelf.

Part livery (everything except riding, grooming, tack cleaning) is £84 a week... It would be £91 a week, except that I have a teeny tiny pony, so presumably he puts away a bit less in terms of hard feed than a larger model!
