Livery problems

Perhaps the YO was amazed at the amount of 'stuff' that she was expected to store in addition to providing livery?

When is that ever an excuse for not providing the services agreed? If YO had an issue with the amount of 'stuff' then surely just discussing that with the livery would be the thing to do...

Not at all but this forum does nothing except complain about YO's. Yes there are some bad ones and this one does sound bad BUT we have only heard one side of the story. There are some pretty ghastly liveries too.

Thank you all for the lovely comments. We are moved. Ten hours of mad YO messaging me continually, from 6am to 4pm, but it's all a bad dream now. Both horses had an hour in their new field to stretch their legs and are now munching on lots of soaked hay which I took with me. Hopefully they will have a good night, my daughter's pony was looking drawn when we arrived, but an hour later he was back to his normal self. They are so resilient. I shall divide my day tomorrow between work and horses and Wednesday will take them out for a potter. I had a mate with me today and despite all her threats all day long, YO did not put in an appearance. Mind you, I did take the mouthiest mate I have!! :D Here's to a long and happy and healthy time ahead. :D

What???? Er, there is only one side, the truthful side. What sane YO spends ten hours of her day continually telling her livery that is leaving that day anyway, that its very inconvenient because the road needs to be kept clear for the balers, that we need to box up 1/2 mile from yard because we mustn't block the road, that doesn't believe me when I tell her I don't know the surname of the lady who is transporting us (trust me this is not unusual round here, we are very casual), and finally, after I've stood my ground, tells me to just go? Er, I was going anyway. The funniest part about it was that I knew she was lying about the balers, and sure enough, not a single vehicle passed us. Insane. :D

You seem to have been on the forum a long time, but I'm guessing don't visit often as I have seen plenty of posts praising great YOs. And plenty of people sharing their stories of 'ghastly' liveries! Of course there are more moaning posts, but that is just human nature - people are far more likely to talk about a bad experience online, then a good one. And of course there are always two sides to a story, OP could also be a complete pain (not saying you are OP!) but is well within her rights to move ASAP as she is not being provided with the service she signed up to.

Sounds like you are best out of there OP! Glad it worked out in the end.
