livery question. is this reasonable ?

And what would you pay?
Part livery service which includes rug change, turn out, muck out, bring on, wash legs, pick feet, ad lib hay, bedding, feeds made, hay nets filled, paddocks poo picked daily, skip out and water pm, bed down ,no sweeping?
What would you pay?

Next question, if they are in for a period due to them being fed up in the field, they are hand walked daily, kept skipped out etc, ad lib hay and extra bedding. Would you expect your horses exercised ( ridden) free of charge? If not , what would you pay??

Also, if on part livery where putting to bed was not included would you leave at four hacking not put hay in, fed ,filled your water and put your night rugs on? Would you just expect the yard to do it for free ?

We all had contracts that state what is included.

It depends what is in your contract, question 1 it depends on the area I would charge between £70 - £100 depending on size of horse.

2 I would not expect them to exercise free of charge but equally I would expect the horses to get out almost every day for at least a few hours, if I keep mine in one day, which rarely happens, then they get out the next without fail, I ride one livery once or twice most weeks and charge £10 for about 30- 40 mins, yesterday I rode him and as it was peeing down he stayed in afterwards but went out today.

Not sure I understand the last question about leaving at 4 hacking.
 
1 - I pay £80 p/w for this.
2 - I wouldn't expect the horse ridden. I am fortunate to have a horsewalker on site and she goes on there 2/3 a day over the winter. I also wouldn't like anyone to take their lives in their hands getting on her without signing a disclaimer first!!
3 - No I wouldn't. If I had to leave usually my YO gets asked to help out (for a fee) or another livery will trade favours.
 
Second question is not very clear, but on part livery I would kiss their feet if they would exercise as well, I have four at home and hand walking/grazing in hand it takes 2 hours to do all four, I often take two at a time, one on a lunge line,to expect them to be exercised as well? the time aspect alone makes it unreasonable to do with multiple horses unless they had a full staff, as to price, I wouldn't know, sorry

That makes sense now, why would an owner leave the horse without hay or water, I would do it and have done without charging but then I do hay and waters in the morning ready for them to come in, part of mucking out and leaving the box finished so they can be brought in at any time in my view, the rugs I tend to leave turnouts on anyway so would make no difference.
 
We have had a couple of liveries on the yard this week whom have come at about two, ridden, put the horse in and gone , never to come back and expect the yard to finish up. The beds can't be left ready as the horses are either in or in by lunch time
 
I don't see what, apart from feeding, there is to finish really, if they are getting a decent amount of hay then it will not run out same with the water a good tub full will last, my part livery came today at 2 got her pony in, rode him then left about 3.30 her pony came back to his box with a full net ready and water, I fed as usual. The beds are down and set fair in the morning, ad lib hay means there should always be plenty whether they are in all day or not even if it means putting in an extra net, the yard needs to decide what is included and make it clear but equally if they are keeping horses in and trying to limit hay they are failing to provide what they are contracted to do.
It is half term so are these liveries at school usually, they may not know what is expected and probably have not been told.
