Hi all, I am very nearly at the stage of buying my first horse and i am super excited!

I need a livery yard and was wondering if anyone could pm me with your experiences of yards around herts, beds, bucks area. Don't want to travel too far but will think about it for the right place.

Want the basics firstly, a stable, all year turnout, tack room that sort of thing. With friendly people/staff who are willing to help out a new owner!

I kept my old boy at www.sunnysidelivery.co.uk for a year when I was at Uni locally - it was a lovely place with help always on hand if you needed it. Direct access to some off road hacking too which is a definite bonus in that area.

I was only there for the year though so can't recommend any others. A coursemate kept hers at Gravenhurst on a DIY yard run alongside their feedstore (Gravenhorse I think) and was happy there.

You're welcome :D If you do a search on here for 'Bedfordshire livery' you will get loads of ideas - there have been a lot of threads in the last year or so. Good luck!
 
I'm in MK so can help with yards near there

Two that Spring to mind that are near-ish Linslade are:

Ridge Dean (Soulbury) http://www.ridgedeanlivery.co.uk/
Kingsland (Drayton Parslow) - first yard I was at, found it very friendly http://www.kingslandfarmlivery.co.uk/

Burcott Hall Farm (Wing)

Would recommend a visit to Dennes http://www.dennecountrystores.co.uk/ to look at their noticeboard for livery near you
