Hi all,

I will be studying in London next year and hope to bring my mare with me.
Does anyone have suggestions for liveries that would not be too far to drive to from central London (i.e. 45 min max?). Ideally I am looking for a place that is quite competition/ show-jumping orientated or at least has training/ show-jumping lesson opportunities.

I look forward to hearing from you ! :)

Pachesham? Depends where in London you are staying but you can drive from the city in about 40 minutes (out of rush hour.)

It will depend on what part of London you work and live in. I would be aiming for different yards if i worked in the city than if I worked in Knightsbridge.

Then what is your budget is and your priorities? Some of the yards closer into London struggle to offer turnout and are very expensive.

Someone mentioned Patchetts and there are actually quite a few yards in that area to suit different preferences and pockets. They can be quick to get to as you go up the M1 depending on where in London you are going to be.

Do you know exactly where you will be living and working yet?

Hi,

Thanks so much for the reply. I will be studying for one more year in Marylebone and living there most likely as well (though not 100% settled yet - would be willing to live elsewhere if easier access to barn/ easier to keep car).
Priorities are access to showjumping training/ turnout if possible/ possibility of having my mare exercised when I am away - realistically I will not be able to come everyday (for the following year I will be studying so have more free time but then will start working and probably won't be able to ride every week night :/ ).

I am currently in London and hope to visit a few yards so all suggestions welcome!!
