Hi everyone
Hope you’re well?

Hoping somebody will be able to point me in the right direction as I’m new to the area.

Need a space on a yard for a 16.1hh mare.
DIY preferably, as I prefer to be more hands on.
Must have a floodlit ménage. Indoor a big bonus of course.
Prefer that there is somebody living on site.
Happy on a working livery yard or a private yard.

Areas: Solihull in to Warwickshire border. Can see Wythall area has options but will need some advise on area?

Can travel up to 30 mins for right yard, from South birmingham.

Thanks in advance!

Wythall has a high crime rate and very limited hacking, it is a rat run into Birmingham and Solihull.

Swallowfields at Lapworth has excellent facilities but I don't know if they do DIY.

John Poole at Allcott Farm might be able to help you and Seachem Equestrian Centre might also be able to help you. Both yards owned and run by top professionals.

Really great recommendations so far! Thank you!!
Yards look great. Let’s see if I can get a space somewhere :)

Really liked the look of Chesssets Wood, but she’s only offering part or full livery.

Waiting to hear from Swallowfield, and Allcott Farm.
Seecham only part/full.

Cross your fingers :)

Thank you!
You’re right, Mousely House Farm part and full livery only.

Have mapped Alvechurch and it works really well actually, so there’s another option.
Is the area okay? :)

Oh yeah, there's decent hacking from Seechem/the Rickyard. There's another yard I know round there, they don't offer proper winter turnout though - only in small hardstanding pens. My horse didn't cope, I'd be happy to pass on details if you're interested though - many horses did cope fine, and owners loved the lack of mud! There are a few bridleways round there. Depends what you're used to I suppose ;) if you're coming from a national park or somewhere, maybe wouldn't seem so great! I did used to wear a hat cam at ALL times though as traffic round there could get a bit hairy sometimes. That's the case in most places these days though!
Ooh just thought of another one round there - that's definitely DIY. I'll pm you the number if you like?

Excellent thank you.
ah, that would be really helpful yes please!

Seems to just be the case doesn’t it, sadly, too many people bomb it around the lanes. Helmet cam is a great shout!
