My horse was recently diagnosed with Cushing's and so I'm obviously having to be very careful with his turnout, especially at the moment. My current yard is lovely but the grazing there is very rich, which makes me even more nervous about turning him out, even with a muzzle on!
Most of the yards I know seem to operate on a similar approach of large herds in big fields which aren't really managed and get nice and green in the summer. I'm wondering if there's anywhere around with either rubbishy grazing, or strip grazing or even better, a non-grass all weather turnout area.
I'm based just outside Bridgend but would be happy to travel for the right place. Ideally I'd like somewhere with reasonable hacking and if it's far enough away that I need to have part livery then I'd need the yard owner/ staff to be very reliable!
