livery v field rental

what does everyone prefer i currently rent my field after a horrible livery yard experience but the past 2 weeks im thinking of going back and finding a small yard with school as i have 2 riding horses but am a little fed up of riding on my own any thorts appreciated
 
I was on a yard were nobody rode. I accosted anyone I saw riding and now have several hacking buddies and my own field. I do know what you mean though, it can be lonely.
 
Why dont you advertise for a sharer/someone to hack out with you??

I rent my own field and stables now, would never go back to a livery yard. I ride by myself, it doesn't really bother me though.
 
I much prefer renting a field. Im currently on a livery yard looking for a field to rent. I've always kept my horses privately, either at my parents house or in rented fields, and just cant cope with people feeding/messing with my horses, stealing my stuff and general selfishness with the facilities. I dont really like hacking out with other people (i think im quite antisocial lol) so never had a problem with that. I like to have my own space and have everything how i like it, and know that when i go to see my horses everything is how i left it!
 
I used to rent own field but had the same problem - no-one to ride with, constantly fixing anything that went wrong etc! I moved back to livery and love it!! People to ride with/talk to, YO to fix things. They arent always for everyone but ive experienced enough to know this is a good one & they do have their benefits, just choose carefully if you decide to go back :-)
