Am moving to London and need full/part livery for ex competition horse who is retired but still thinks he's entitled to 5 star care - which he is of course!

Must haves are individual turn out, but only needs to be for half a day.....no need for daily turnout in winter as long as he gets some walking - and adlib, as much as he wants, hay or hayledge. Also and importantly, needs quiet and kind human company......

A small private yard would be ideal as he is 1000% easy and is a dream to do in every way.

My needs are easy reach of north London and complete trust in standard of care. No need for schools etc or hacking but good quality care the most vital piece.

Any suggestions please please let me know - no idea where to start as I know no one in this part of the world and am coming from Sussex.

Thank you all so much.........

It does depend which part of North London? Please be aware that London is very expensive. I know most the yards around the Mill HILL and Totteridge areas including some private yards which may be more suitable for your horse. One of the better yards in Mill Hill is Mote End Farm which has individual grazing if you want it.

Frith Manor might do individual turnout. My friend is there on part livery and she is very happy with the standard of care her horse gets. Hers goes out in a group although I think there are some that have special needs turnout arrangements and there are definitely separate paddocks - you would need to contact them and ask them what the deal is. They have 24 hour turnout in summer and go out every day for a couple of hours in winter.
It's very accessible from North London even if you don't have a car - walking distance from Mill Hill East tube on the Northern line or you could hop on a bus if you're feeling lazy.

I popped into a very nice yard in/ near Botany Bay,Cuffley last week on spec to see what horses they had for sale(I spotted a big sign). I was in the area.

Really lovely people nice and quiet and nice stables. The straw in the stables was so deep and spotless. The yard was quiet and the farrier was working away. Good security gates etc

I dont know who owns it but very impressed. look them up. A nice area of North London too.
