Hi, just wandering if anyone could recommend any good websites where I can advertise d i y livery on??
Got 2 spaces at my yard going and need to fill them asap.
Any recommendations would be much appreciated x.

personally put a ad in adtrader ... thats what i do my friends yard all of her liverys came from that xx good luck i wouldnt do the web to be honest

Ive got ads up in about 4 different local tack and pets places, wouldnt be that bothered but the person that left done a bunk just as the rent was due cheeky sods x.

ahhh cant you do a month in advance thas what i do then you wouldnt be in the poo ! people are sh.its arnt they doing a bunk
pikeys ....lol

make them pay in advance, rather than in arrears they should pay you so in theory you have the money to fill up the feed room for the week ahead if you know what i mean, unfortunately its better to trust no one when it come to livery, then your never dissapointed! sorry but im having bit of hard time with liveries at mo! so sorry if bit sceptical, i know there are good people are out there but why bet on it by letting them pay after youve fed there horse for a week?!?! good luck, yes adtrader, local merchants etc, cos lets face it they gonna be local to your area, ad trader also puts ads on net, other ones to try - yeller, free ads

friday ad and horsemart. i had this when i had a yard last year. i would charge on 1st month for that month in advance and they p.ss of on the 31st with bounced cheques

Just to add I am on DIY livery and have to pay by direct debit each month which is fine by me and also means the yard owner always gets paid, she said she has had to do this in recent years due to the problem you had.

she had a livery last year who was always broke and was always late with her rent she then left the yard owing money. She eventually got the money back in dribs and drabs. Another couldn't afford to pay her bill so gave the YO her horse!! Turns out that the horse is actually pretty good so is now prob worth more than the initial debt but that's not the point!

I found my livery yard by just driving round and stopping at all the local yards, there's always ads in our local tack shop and feed merchant.
