Hi,
Does anyone know of any friendly yards around Stourport/Kidderminster or surrounding areas that has good off road riding? I would prefer yards on farms where you can ride round their fields or yards that have permission off local farmers. I am a happy hacker that does not want to be crossing busy A roads to access the off road riding. An all weather school would be nice but the riding is the most important thing to me.
Thanks

There was a TROT route on a farm adjacent to Stourport Riding Centre, which also is next to Hartlebury Common. You can get on some lanes, but the A449 is a bit of a barrier, there are some quiet little lanes in the area too.

Then there is Bissell Wood, which is on a very good network of bridlepaths, surprisingly considering that it is just off the A456, and it has its own cross country course and has some fun rides too.

Gately Farm in Cutnall Green used to have its own cross country course, but I don't know if that is still used, as fishing lakes seem to take up a lot of the space - but that again has quiet lanes around, although hardly any bridlepaths or off road riding in the area.

Bissell wood has got a good network of bridlepaths around the area, but you do have to cross/ride down some fairly busy roads if you are wanting to go for some longer hacks. Lincomb farm in stourport do livery, and you have use of all their land to ride around.

I am at livery at Lincomb and the hacking is amazing- I think there is about 8 miles of off road tracks, as well as all of the fields/xc course to ride around and the lanes are extremely quiet and single track- not a main road in sight!

It is only full livery though so not sure if that is what you want?

Lincomb or their are other options. We are below lincomb but love to ride on the route when we can. Plus fab facilities!

That is a blast from the past, cross country at cut all green, no it does not o. Was a sweet little course, spent hours on their as a youngster

Thanks for your replies, the roads around Bissell Wood are too busy for my horse. I would love to be at Lincomb but I can only afford DIY livery. I was hoping that there were some other farms that had diversified but they all seem to be around Bridgnorth or further :(

There are several yards around Hopton Wafers ,not sure if that would be too far ? Fab out riding over hundreds of acres of common land and very quiet lanes . DIY livery from around £25 per week . 6 Ashes Cleobury Mortimer is sandwiched between 2 x A roads so not sure if that would be suitable .
