Livery yard contracts in Scotland

Hello all,

I am really hoping someone can help!

If a livery leaves overnight and doesn't give notice (1 month in this case), what action can a YO take?

There is a contract in place, however the contract states it is subject to English law.

But the yard and livery is in Scotland. Scotland is quite different in pursing some for money, it is done via civil action and via the local sherriff court.

Can a contract that is subject to English law be enforced in Scotland?

probably not much help, but i am in ne scotland and have previously worked on livery yard and had a couple people just up and leave no notice at all my boss never did anything about it..

Cost wise it's probably not worth persuing!

According to a few people at my work yes you can procede through the small claims court but it might not be financially worth it, good luck
