The yard im on doesnt have grass liveries and as my horse has bad COPD she cant be stabled. Plus our yard has lots of flies being near a river and my horse has a few sarcoids.

So i thought of moving to a yard ive been at before. The problem being theyare still putting hay out (she can only eat soaked hay) so she cant go in with them or she goes on her own which im not sure about or she goes out with some horses that kick.

Help pls..

Could she go out on her own until they stop putting hay out for the others. If she can see other horses near her she would probably be ok? I personally would avoid putting my horse in with a known kicker. One thing for sure, if she has bad COPD you need to get her out as much as poss! Difficult decision moving yards but you have got a very good reason

dont see how you actually have a choice - she can't eat the unsoaked hay, why would you put her out with confirmed kickers... so looks like she will have to solo until they stop putting out hay. Most horses are fine as long as they can see others. Mine goes out on his own still because he wont stop playing and he and his mates come in every day with bits missing..

Could you not speak to one of the owners of the horses that are in the field where they get none soaked hay and see if they would be happy to put their horse in the same field as your horse providing you do the extra work required of soaking enough hay for both of them?
