Can anyone reccomend a nice friendly yard in the Newbury and Thatcham area which does DIY livery.

I love where I am at the moment and so does my horse but my problem is he is a bit of liability on the road and I had an operation on my knee a while back and still don't have the strength in it at the moment to sit his little trantrums easily. This yard is lovely in the sense it has a huge amount of grazing, the hacking is gorgeous and the people are very friendly (although they don't ride, they have a rescue pony as a pet) but its only downfall is that it doesn't have anywhere I can school him whilst I build the strength back up in my knee.

Any recomendations would be greatly appreciated :)

Sorry, I have only just seen this. I'm based in Cornwall now but I kept my horse for 3 years at Curridge Green riding school before I moved here, There isn't extensive hacking but most of it is off road. At the time it was a friendly happy hackers yard and I know they have built more stables and improved the size of the school. Hope that helps.

There's one behind Thatcham station. If you go over the bridge and turn immediately left and then take the first right you'll find it. Has indoor/outdoor arena, indoor/outdoor stables and all year turnout.

You could try:
LX Equestrian more of a competition training yard but good hacking on very quiet or off road.
Stronge The same but pretty fulll at the moment.

I used to be at Church Brook Farm (years ago - don't even know if it's still going) when I lived in Thatcham, it's in Tadley.

Their website does come up on google if you put in Church Brook Farm livery but I can't get it to open...
