Hi All
Have recently moved to Wethersfield near Braintree and am looking for part livery near to me. Have tried a few but cant find anything suitable. It appears that you need to know the right people to ask and as I am new to the area I dont know anyone yet, so could really do with some help. I work full time so am looking for a nice friendly yard, that has a routine, is smart and has good facilities (at least outdoor floodlight school) where I would have people to hack out with. I dont compete, so dont want to go to a big competition yard, just want to be around nice people in a friendly social environment.
Hope someone can help. oh, btw, I have a 11 year old gellding.

Hi there,

Have you tried Sally Beanland at Frenches Farm in Great Bradfield?

Poole Farm in Sible Hedingham maybe? It's DIY but I think they are offering extra/ part livery services now for a fee.
I used to keep mine there and the hacking was alright, plus there's a school with lights.
To be honest I hack around the local area/Wethersfield/Topps and it's rubbish. Hedingham probably was a better location for bridleways. I hear Great Barfield has some nicer hacking too.

Not sure if you've found somewhere, but there is someone advertising a couple of spaces near braintree on the Facebook 'Braintree Riders' page?

Looking to move myself now (everything is so full round here!) and there was a yard in sampford with spaces, but it was a bit out of my price range. -Moor End I think it was called

A friend has set up a very small full livery yard with 365 day turnout, near Braintree (max 4 horses with School and fantastic hacking. For any of those looking message me if you would like more details. It is full livery only, no DIY.
