Hi Everyone,
I've just sold my house and am moving near Churchinford in Somerset and wanted to find a livery yard for my horses. At the moment I've got a retired ex racehorse whose on grass livery and another horse that I'm turning away as well while a legal case goes through so want them both on grass livery.

I'm also looking to buy a new horse that I can actually ride! I'm a novice but have lightly competed previously so want somewhere, where I can have lessons to get me upto speed again so I can jump etc.

Want a yard that has friendly liveries and is not clickey as want to meet friends to ride out with.

Are there any yards to avoid as well?

Thank you.

Thanks very much for that.

Is there good hacking around there and how much is the livery? Just looked on the map and it's only 8 miles away which isn't a bad distance.
Has the yard got a website?

Big life change this is but I'm looking forward to it.

Welcome to the Blackdown Hills! I'm just over the hill near Luppitt!

I think this may not be to far from you?

Dressage people - i know the property is for sale though?

I have 2 horses for sale - but thats another story!

Good Luck

I don't this one myself and it's not at Churchinford but not too far away - a friend from home (I came from Wellington originally) keeps her horse here and seems very happy there but that's all I know of it.

It's a lovely area around Churchinford so I'm sure you will be very very happy with your horse in that area. They have some fantastic paths/routes for horses now on the Blackdowns.

Thank you ever so much everyone,

Will check out all the yards and hopefully find the perfect one.

Lisa I can't buy a horse until I move so will be in September. You could send me the details and I'll certainly look.

Thanks again.

Yes, the yard does have a website - http://www.southeyfarm.co.uk/ which shows the yard nicely.

Hacking is brill - got Sampford moor and Culmstock beacon right on our doorstep with some really quiet roads and woodland to ride in. It's brill!

Livery is £95 a week, including full care, bedding, feed etc. Extras are shoes, working, vets etc. Fantastic yard!
