Hi, will be moving from Italy to Henley on Thames on Sep.1st. i am myself a competent rider but have not ridden for many years due to family and work commitments. My daughter started riding when she was 4 and she is now 8 competing in SJ in Italy up to 70 cm. She will sadly need to leave her pony behind in Italy as she is progressing fast and I am looking for a livery near Henley (but prepared to travel further if necessary) , where she can train and progress with affiliated showjumping. Obviously we need to find a new pony for her. Have been to Checkendon, but they mainly do unaffiliated SJ. any experience with Hall's Place or Cane End? Also read about Huntercombe End Farm. Any first hand experiences ? also what is the best place to look for a pony here in the Uk?
Thank you for any help /tips.

Is it not possible to bring her pony from Italy? It wouldn't cost the earth on a shared load & will save you the hassle of having to find a replacement in the UK.
The Blewbury Centre does affiliated BSJA but I really wouldn't want to keep a horse there - just my personal opinion. Checkendon would be a good base to be able to travel out to competitions or maybe Hardwick Stud - I think that there are some kids there who jump BSJA. Cane End is a very smart yard but from the personal experience of a close friend is well over priced for the facilities - there's an arena with a dubious surface and ok hacking, over-grazed paddocks but that's it. Hall Place do unaffiliated SJ but unfortunately it's locked between house developments and hacking is minimal. Brackenhill Stud near Henley has I believe recently been taken over. OK hacking, nice indoor arena - might be worth a look.
