Hi

Does anyone know of any good livery yards near Northwich that they can recommend? I am looking for DIY livery at a yard with services available if needed, a menage and good hacking.

Thanks

Hi, there are a few yards you can try, Cheshire Riding School (Comberbach) have DIY livery, with 3 arenas, farm ride and quiet hacking - I used to be there. Its a riding school and livery yard, so getting in to the indoor in the winter is difficult unless you are happy/able to ride early in the day or in the evenings at weekend (lessons used to go on to 9am weekdays).

Or slightly further afield in Hatton, near Warrington there are a couple of yards - Hatton Stables and New House Farm in Hatton (although they only have a few DIY stables), but is a lovely yard - I have a friend based there.

Have a look at this link - they are all listed on there.

Good luck!

Arley Moss Equestrian has 3 outdoor arenas, large indoor arena, gallops, Off foad hacking round the Arley estate,(new route) Horsewalker, lunge arena, XC schooling field and show jumps.

Its is a big yard, however never really seems over busy and you can usually use the facilities no problem.

There is all year round turnout, apart from the odd icy/snowy days when you may be asked to keep your horse in. Horses are turned out in small groups of 2 or 3.
