Now relocated back to the NW and I'm having trouble getting yard owners to so much as return my calls or emails.
So far I've sent a text with my enquiry (as requested, then 'nnn will get back to you'), sent an email (as requested 'and then I can give you a break down of our additional costs') and left messages on mobile phones - the only point of contact - and the number has rang out constantly rather than be picked up.
Not one of them (four yards so far) has had the courtesy to reply or ring back
. Why on earth go to the bother of advertising or creating fancy websites if it's too much hassle to deal with enquiries?
Still, I suppose I should be taking it as a warning that if a YO treats those who enquire with contempt, then it's not a good omen for good future working relationships. 
All I want is a livery yard with sane YO, safe hacking and decent facilities <sigh>.
