Just wondering if anyone would mind telling me what they pay for livery and what that includes. Having a revision of pricing structure and very interested in other yards. I'm aware that this depends on the area so we're in north yorkshire, harrogate/ york/ripon/boroughbridge/wetherby type areas. Although any info greatly appreciated.

Also if you have any suggestions as to what is important facility and yard wise.

Thanks in advance xxx

Hiya
I pay £80 a week 5 day full livery includes straw bed [1/2 bale a day], 2 big haynets a day, 2 feeds of hifi, cool cubes and sugar beet with boiled barley and linseed in winter. Only thing i do is muck out, turnout and bring in at weekend, and ride.

In London I paid variably £520 a month and £433 a month for 7 day livery with same routine as above.

Menage is a must, floodlights are brilliant, best of all is a yard owner who is normal and not a diva....xx

In your area :)

I pay £75 p/w for 5/2
I get ad lib haylage, 2x feeds a day (he is on senior mix), t/o.
We have a walker which is very important in the winter and an all weather school with mainly open use except for one night every week or so when an external instructor is in.

Plus I get a lovely friendly yard with loads of expertise and help when I need it.

Where abouts are you?

In Newport, South Wales:

£30 a week includes:
Stable
Turnout (alternate between mares/geldings in winter)
Adlib hay or haylage
Use of indoor school
Use of 'Free time' in the outdoor school (9am-10am mon, tues and fri, 4pm-5pm mon-fri, 7pm-8pm mon, tues and fri and 9am-11am sat)
Use of the jumps

In Aberdeenshire I am currently paying £35 a week for grass livery at a large livery yard who hold competitions on site, with use of:

30x60 indoor arena
20x40 indoor arena
60x40 outdoor arena
20x40 outdoor arena

During winter at same yard I pay about £52 a week for diy livery which includes use of all the above and includes hay/haylage, bedding and turnout in morning.

I'm in Surrey and paying:

£108 pcm for DIY livery, including:

Large, brick built stables (at least 17 x 17)
365 day a year turn out (overnight in summer, out from about 7-3.30/4pm in winter)
Indoor sandschool - with jumps.
Lorry/trailer parking
Early morning and night checks by YM
Good hacking - including off road hacking over local farms
Fully secure tackroom
Ample storage space.

Assisted DIY/Part/Full livery services available for extra charge.

In reality, I use the assisted services - at this time of year, horse is brought in for me in the morning and I will ride/do jobs and turn out after work. Sometimes, I do mornings instead an evening - so horse is turned out and I'll do up in the morning to ride. At weekends, I tend to either have a lie in and do all jobs/chores in the afternoon or I'll go up in the morning and may not go back both days at the weekend in the afternoon.

Extra's for me - are hay, feed, bedding - although we use a local farmer who will deliver hay/haylage/straw for a discounted rate.
