Firstly I think I should explain the field set up. I am currently at livery and the field we turn out in is split in two with a track down the middle wide enough to drive a car up (each half is a couple acres). We are very lucky that our ½ field is ours to do as we wish for so currently my mums old mare is in a paddock and my ned then just has the remainder of the ½ and all the fence has a fencer on it.
So we had a new arrival on the yard and I welcomed her, let he know what time I turn out and get in (as hate to leave a new horse in a field on his own) and also warned the owner that she would need to put a fencer on the tape her side as I really didnt want the horses getting in together (A. it would be two geldings and a very mareish mare b. my guys have only ever gone out together for the past 7 years and c. Timmy is my medium dressage horse who I couldnt replace!).
I arrive to the yard yesterday and I hadnt even got out of the car when one of the other liveries screamed at me YOU need a different battery on the fence as your horse got out and kicked . (the new one). So I walk straight round to the girls stable to make sure ned was ok and to apologise. On arrival to the stable the girl was apologising saying she had checked my ned and he was fine and her ned was ok just a few kick marks on the side at this point im very confused why the hell is she saying sorry to me?!?!?!
Turns out that she didnt put a fencer on her half so new ned got out and then got in with mine, he then obviously tried to see mare and my ned got a bit protective (as they do). Yard owner put horses back into correct paddocks but forgot to switch my fencer back on so my ned then got out again and in with the new ned!
Im completely fine about the whole thing (mortified that my horse kicked someone else but then I did make it clear to get a fencer and as above two geldings one mare is asking for trouble).
Mum gets to yard this morining and the car jumper jumps her and is now putting the horse out (its not her horse and the YO has said it is to stay in until the other lady has a fencer as she doesnt want any more injuries!)
I dont want to cause an argument but this person is REALLY annoying me it isnt her horse and her horse isnt even in the field. Myself and the new neds owner are completely fine about it and had a chat but she keeps sticking her nose in!!!!!
