Hi!

I'm beginning a tentative look at livery yards near me & would love some recommendations whilst I search.

I'm in South London, so need somewhere that I can drive to - approx. 15 miles / >45m drive from Dulwich/Streatham area. I WFH but would need part/full livery, visiting 3-4 times a week. Indoor school would be great, but the most important thing I'm looking for is a supportive yard w/ good hacking, lots of turnout & early opening times.

I haven't got my own horse yet, but the plan is to search around for livery yards first, get on a waiting list, discuss my riding ability/needs etc, so I have support in place to help me find the right horse (very much a happy hacker!)

Current list of yards I'm looking at includes: Fairlawn Farm Livery, Downe Livery Stables, Farleigh Court, Holt Farm Equestrian, Park Farm Stables (Oxted.)

Any experiences at the above / advice would be fantastic! I'd love to hear recommendations of anywhere slightly further out that ticks all of the right boxes too.

Have a great day!! :)

Farleigh Court is fantastic - possibly on the more expensive side but really worth it. Hacking is fabulous, the outdoor school is great, the indoor is small but serviceable and handy in the middle of winter but the main attraction is the fabulously supportive yard owner. There are lots of clinics, clear rounds and unaffiliated dressage competitions on site. We moved out of London but really miss Farleigh.
