Hey all,

A bit stuck!

Currently looking for a livery yard, assisted DIY around Worthing, findon and Shoreham
Would like a school (even if it's a grass school) and some good hacking
Don't mind if it's grass livery as long as I could put hay in the field for winter months

Anyone know of anything?
I can't seem to find anywhere ?

Thanks x

Unfortunately with so many yards closing recently, DIY spaces are very limited round this area. I do know of a field (just under 2 acres) with a small stable that's up for rent but no other horses around and you have to cross a busy road for hacking.

Heya, yes I've seen so many closing down or are full up ?
Where abouts? I have a 16hh but could get a smaller horse for company
He is very good on the roads but depends which road it's on! ?

I think the problem would be grazing sustainability, without stabling them there's not enough grazing for year round living, and there's only one small stable.

There is a DIY yard in Edburton nr Henfield that may have a space, Truleigh Manor Farm. They have the bottom yard which may have a waiting list, but they also have a top yard with a 33 acre field for herd turnout, there sometimes is stabling available, sometimes it's all full. Two schools on site, 20x60 at the bottom yard and a small one at the top, hacking around the farm, hacking on the South Downs Way 5 seconds from the front gate and you would have no need to hay if in the big field. Can hay if at the bottom yard. Let me know if you would be interested and I will ping you the contact details, I was there before I lost my horse and it was wonderful, albeit with it's downsides as every yard has.

North Farm has just shut up shop, Kingswood is run by a nutter, Long Furlong is a fantastic yard but has a 3.5 year waiting list, Lazy T (next to Long Furlong, shares their school) may be worth a try, Hangleton usually has spaces but again I wouldn't go there if you paid me. Chantry stables in Storrington occasionally has DIY spaces, there is also one called Greyfriars in Storrington which may also be worth a call. Rogers Farm in Findon is full 99% of the time, but there are horses off of the right hand side of Bost Hill just around the corner - I am unsure of the contact details but I think it's a yard.

That's about all I can think of off the top of my head

That was incredibly helpful, thank you!
I've heard of Rogers farm and would love the contact number if you could pm me?
I will research chantry stables as storrington isn't too far from me as well!
Thank you again!
