I've also got a post in Stable Yard but thought it would get more traffic here.

We're considering a move to this area so I'm just putting feelers out for livery yards.

DIY preferred, the most we would need it assisted DIY, for 2 new forest geldings. Good turnout is ESSENTIAL and decent hacking is also a must. Everything else we're prepared to compromise on as we're currently renting our own field with no facilities at all!

Just wondered if people could tell me the good, the bad and the ugly of yards in this area. Feel free to PM me if you'd rather not publicly name and shame people.

Thanks

There's Tanglewood in Colden Common, they've got a website so might be worth phoning them for a chat. There's also a lot of yards down Hensting Lane just down from CC, the hacking will be slightly better there although you can hack to these bridleways etc. from Tanglewood (just involves a bit of roadwork to get there first).

I am not far from these yards but not near enough to know individual yards/names/numbers etc. - sorry! I get the impression from those I've spoken to who are around Hensting Lane that a lot of it is word of mouth - so if you phone/visit one yard and there's no space, you could ask what else is around there (if you visit, you can ask other liveries rather than asking YO!).

You could also search out Hampshire Hooves on Facebook - they've got a page for livery yards so you could post on there. Or NFED?

Good luck!
