Hi
I am looking to move my horse to the area around Dursley, Stroud, Tetbury - quite a wide net really as I am going to be working near Tetbury but will possibly be living nearer to the Dursley/Uley/Stroud area, so will be looking for livery either near home or work. Just wondered if anyone had any suggestions?
I am not necessarily looking for a big yard as I will be looking mainly for DIY, but would like somewhere with a school and turnout.
I have a 4 year old that I am hoping to compete prelim and BD young horse classes next year so if the yard was slightly more dressage orientated that would be a bonus, but facilities would be more of a priority!!
Any ideas gratefully received!!

There are loads of good yards around there.

Barton End, near Nailsworth. It's on a working farm so can be a bit messy but fabulous off road hacking and a 20x30 outdoor arena with lights. Doesn't do DIY though.

Bownhill Livery, just outside Stroud. Has an indoor school, good off road hacking and a cross country course.

Burrows Court, near Wotton Under Edge, has three outdoor arenas (its a small dressage competition centre). I think it's DIY only.

There is also Burnt Ash Farm on Minchinhampton Common. And The Shard livery in Stroud - don't know either of these personally.

Billow Farm is the biggest and has the best facilities in the area. It depends what you're after really.
