All i want is for my big lad to stay within a herd he has made friends in, not to have new horses coming and going every 5 minutes which causes fights and injuries, for little lady to have company and be in restricted grazing, for the YO not to argue with me and go against what i want, she doesnt know best.
There must be a nice, quiet yard in East Lothian that they can be retired in peace and quiet! If anyone knows one, please please pm me info before i get put in jail.

I gave up looking for a yard offering full livery with turnout and a good sized school around Edinburgh/the Lothians and moved to Aberdeen! So good luck with finding that!

Asbo where have you been? There is a few small holdings at the bogs which are nice (some have plenty of land!) I wouldn't touch samuelston farm ;-)

Only been on the one large yard out here so any info would be fantastic please x

All i need is good grazing for one, poor or restricted for the other, stables would be lovely but not a must and be able to feed adlib hay/haylage at my own cost in the winter.

I'm not sure on other yards turn out and grazing etc I just have personal knowledge of the one place. Try the trot-on line forum, when I was looking for livery out that way people on there were pretty helpful I think it's full of Edinburgh and the lothians based people. Good luck I hate searching for livery!

I feel your pain! All I want is a big field with plenty of grass, which seems impossible when everyone has tiny fields for their restricted horses. I wouldn't mind so much if I wasn't surrounded by endless fields, none of which are owned by people who want liveries!

I have a HUGE field on the other side of my garden fence, sadly it belongs to the yard i want to leave, fields all around me and nothing to rent, its hell lol.

yep, Carberry didnt have horses on for a while but noticed latley going past there are a few now. My friend was there years ago and really liked it.

Im looking for a yard atm but finding the same with this area. Not good.

No idea who has it, just someone mentioned a yard that way. I really need to take a walk when DH gets home tonight, i dont drive so it makes livery yards difficult to find.

Crap isnt it x

Cowpits is full already but i am going to check again tomorrow, i dont drive just now which is a issue

I'm sure there was a yard along the walkway (if you went past the cowpits and down the lane?) I used to past a field which had quite a few horses un it but that was many years ago! Could be worth a look tho. What about the place on the left hand side as you leave whitecraig heading towards Dalkeith? Sorry don't know the name.

Smeaton Farm is on the left? EEC is on the right, I have left a note at Smeaton as no phone number or anyone around when i went to find out. I shall look down there tomorrow x
