livery yards in essex

Hi Qru, I know of a few and can possibly throw some suggestions your way. Were you after DIY, Part, Full etc? What sort of facilities?

Hiya.
Type of livery depends on how far the yard would be from my house, but would probably be looking for part livery :)
Facilities - both indoor and out door livery with a menage. An indoor arena would be a plus.
 
If your looking at DIY I would recommend looking further afield than Chelmsford - the DIY yards around here are not very good (do a search with Chelmsford in & you will get loads of threads asking for the same!)
I can recommend some very good full livery yards but you will be looking at paying £450 plus for the facilities you want. Let me know if you want the names :)
I am having to more to a full livery yard as I just cannot find a decent DIY yard here with facilities.

Hiya,
Yes Ive started to looked further out - I.e tiptree, braintree and further to colchester.
I would like yo have atleast part livery if not full depending on price and YES PLEASE could you give me the names of the yards :)

Weald Hall Farm on Duck Lane in Epping is fab. Lovely y/o, fab arena and good hacking and v well priced. Also very active local horsey scene so good for competitions, clinics and fun rides etc.

Maybe too far but Budges in Harold Wood is also fabulous.

There are quite a few DIY yards in and around Chelmsford that I've heard of and can PM you a list of some I've visited before but if you're after one with decent facilities, then yes, a bit further afield you might have more luck. Here are some names of ones I've viewed or had recommendations for in the past that offer more than DIY and have some nice facilities:

Elite Equestrian, Felsted
Westwood Livery, Sandon
Church House Farm Livery, Woodham Mortimer
Notley Livery Yard, Braintree
Middlewick Farm Livery, Southminster
Kelly's Ponies Yard, Stock
Lawn Hall Livery, Dunmow
Attridges, Dunmow
Deanswood Equestrian Centre, Cressing

I wouldn't recommend Westwood Livery or Deanswood if u want to know why pm me! Notley is now closed.
The yards I would recommend are:
Belsmard in Writtle (they have a fb page)
Elite Equestrian (the yo is a member on here might be worth searching and PMing her)
Church House Farm
Lawn Hall livery
Rawreth EC (not in Chelmsford though)
These are all full livery yards and the prices are upwards of £450 but have great facilities etc.

Church House Farm - wheres that and number please? does anyone have redfants number? im looking in Braintree or towards dunmow way possibly shalford DIY
 
Used to have my horses at home so when I moved to a livery yard, it had to be somewhere special so to add another one to your list, Elms Farm Roxwell (not Elms Livery in Roding) - full livery yard; outdoor floodlit school, walker, year round turn out, fantastic off road hacking straight from yard. Yard owner is very knowledgable, down to earth and accommodating and liveries are a v pleasant lot, no bitchiness and v supportive.

Church House Farm, Woodham Mortimer CM9 6GT., near Maldon.they have a website..Google Church House Farm Livery, lots of pics. Only full livery I think.
