Anyone know a decent livery yard in or around Glossop. A friend is looking for somewhere for her two horses and the yard I'm on is full.
Thanks

Hargate Hill
Ashes Lane? cant remember farm name
Also have a drive around the Tintwistle area theres a few yards there.
Yard I'm on only has room for one more (we're on top of the hill with the mast outside Hadfield), she could try the yard next door, i'll pm you the name as soon as I remember it..
I only really know Hargate Hill in the Glossop area, I'm over Rowarth way![]()
Great and thanks for your help. I'll let her know although I know she's rather have them both on same yard.
The Sykes bought my little horsebox off me about 3 years ago - small world![]()
They've still got itIf she does ring them, tell her to ask for Keith, Pat gets very forgetful these days

If it's the yard I think it is, make sure your friend has a good look round and asks plenty of questions about turn out, routine etc. YO can be a bit funny/odd, but it might be the stop cap she needs whilst finding something better.
Access to decent hacking is good from this end, so might be worth overlooking the downside... arena at our yard is hireable to those off yard at £3 for half an hour, so she'd still have access to lessons (we have a couple of freelance instructors who come up)
We're just up the lane from there, say 5 min hack?
I'll have a look/ask about for you![]()
Is Mottram too far? I used to teach at a lovely yard up there, called Mudd Farm, or Lower Mudd Farm.
I know of a livery yard in Hollingsworth, *think* I remember the name of the YO, will double check![]()
