I am starting a new job in Theale, near Reading and am looking for livery yards south of the A4. I know there are a few in Mortimer, anyone got any details or recommendations?

Wheats farm is ok, quite nice surroundings, good hacking, good facilities.

What are you looking for? What price? I have a field in mortimer that is 8acres, 2 retired mares and 2 mini geldings in it, 2 stables and a barn, no electricity, and no school, but again brilliant hacking.

Let me know if your interested, or if not, what your looking for, and I can advise [=

prob the wrong area but we have space in Tilehurst. 2 outdoor arenas (one flood lit), indoor arena, xc course, hacking, lessons, showers, loos, on site tack shop, on site feed, hay and bedding, qualified staff, and a nice (if not mad!) bunch of fellow liveries. PM me if intrested.

Have you looked on preloved. I'm in Tadley area but keep mine in field - but know there are couple of livery round here Church Brook Farm? The Croft? But don't know anything about them sorry . GOOD LUCK :)

Thanks for the replies. I am looking for DIY in summer (preferably 24/7 turnout) and part in the winter. Need good hacking (so not Tilehurst!) and some off-road riding would be a benefit for the winter. Will check out the 2 Mortimer yards that have been recommended.

The Croft is very expensive but good facilities and fab hacking.
Also Chitty Farm in Silchester- near to englefield estate hacking so again excellent and more reasonable cost wise.

Also Bournefield farm, Bradfield or Tidmarsh stud. There used to be a yard at Englefield but not sure if it is still there or what it is like.
