Anyone have any recommendations for a yard in the Lisburn / Belfast area? Trying to find somewhere with decent DIY facilities, all year turnout is essential (one of the boys is a bit arthritic and needs to get out).

Would like somewhere with a decent all weather outdoor at the least and reasonable hacking in the vicinity.. if anyone has any ideas please post or PM me :)

Hi - off the top of my head, there is Lusks and Fox Hill Farm. Both in Carryduff, just outside Belfast. There is also Lessans riding stables, near Saintfield. Oh & Danescroft but not sure if they do livery - it's a big competition & racing yard. Mill Yard is also a good one. They all have websites. www.horseabout.com has a livery section that you can look at. Hope this helps : )

Cheers! Most of these have been on the list and discounted for various reasons, unfortunately.. will have a look at Fox Hill though, hadn't heard of it before. :)

Laurel View? More templepatrick directiont though rather than belfast/lisburn.
You might get some in moria, most livery yards tend to be quite small and contacted through word of mouth, unless competions run there :)

That's a good point only_me, laurel view is nice but I think just a bit too far, trying to stick within about 10 miles. Found a perfect yard which unfortunately doesn't have the capacity at the minute! Sigh! Ah well fingers crossed something will crop up soon.

There's a yard at Nutts Corner advertised on Horseabout at the moment..
And I think there are some private yards near Carryduff.
