Hey guys,
I was just wondering if anyone knew of a quiet livery yard in Plymouth and the surrounding areas, such as plympton, yelverton, yealmpton and so on.

I need a place that has good off road riding, a decent school and isnt too busy!!

I have tried the local tack shops and there seems to be a shortage on anywhere at the moment so i desperately need help!
Its for 2 horses, one who needs a stable the other can live out 24/7 both are well behaved!!
PLEASE help x

I answered your earlier post, but if Tom Willcox or Serpells don't know of anything I'm not sure where else to try. Is coming out onto the moors near North Plymouth too far for you? There are a few yards out this way & I've recently seen an advert for a field at Goodameavy, small - about 3 acres I think, but with 2 stables. I don;t know how much & I don't know if it's now taken but it's just a thought.

Hi, is there another post for yards down this way?? I didnt see it lol!!Will have a look!

Goodmeavy is a little too far for us, i think probably Yelverton is the furthest out to the moor i could do!!

Yards are becoming few and far between down here now:mad:

Sorry I thought it was yours as it was put on here last night I think & I answered it this morning - they are looking for yards in plymstock/plympton/wembury area. How strange!

If you are coming from Plymouth direction Goodameavy is actually closer than Yelverton, there are also yards in Clearbrook and Lovaton which are slightly closer than Yelverton.

I know of a very quiet yard between Clearbrook & Yelverton which is actually a farm with only 1 other livery on.

It just depends how far you are able to travel and where you are. I know it's unlikely to happen again but if we have another winter of snow like last year Clearbrook & surrounding areas was completely blocked off so that could be worth bearing in mind.

Forgot to say you will struggle for a quiet yard with a school out this way (North Plymouth). There are 2 yards here with schools but they aren't quiet - I'm guessing but maybe about a dozen liveries in each?
