Hiya,
I'm not 100% sure whether this should be here or in the Stable Yard, so if I'm in the wrong then I apologise!

My girl's currently kept on a little yard local to us, and with luck we won't have to move, but situations at the yard are getting a little... tricky, and the way in which things are being run is being changed up a bit (along with prices, naturally), so just to make sure that we have somewhere to go if I end up having to move her, I was wondering whether anyone knows of any livery yards in the Wells/Glastonbury area? Preferably part livery and within 30mins drive, though if closer then I can do DIY. I know of Naydon and Kingfisher, but not a huge amount more than that, as google searches always seem to reveal yards just a smidgen too far.

Thanks ;)

ETA: School & Jumps are... necessary to a certain extent, I'm afraid.

Hi, the yard I'm on is near Wells but doesn't have a school so not any use for you but there is also a yard at Middlewick near Glastonbury. I don't know much about it but they have a nice outdoor school and barn stables there.

Wow, thanks for all the replies. Really just looking into all possible options at the moment - cash is a slightly more limiting factor than time, so I'm happy to do DIY.

The site for Redmond Bottom appears to be down - would it be possible for someone to PM me more details/contact details for them? Thankyou :)
Will also look into Tor View, Burcott and the yards in Somerton. Still hoping we won't have to move but... well. Livery yards and money :p

To be honest, Middlewick is where we are currently, and it's looking as if we're going to have to move come february due to the fact that the person who was supposed to be renting the yard upped and left with barely a word, so the way things are being run is going to change a bit & prices are on the up. It's a lovely yard & the atmosphere's brilliant, but we just can't afford the extra cash, sadly.

Just resurrecting this as I am relocating to this area of Somerset this Summer and need to move my lovely 17 year old gelding with me. He needs turnout to keep him mobile and happy,so nowhere with crazy turnout rules! I will be working in Street and am currently trying to decide whether I want to live in Wells, Glastonbury or somewhere in between! Does anyone have any reccomendations? I don't really need a school- nice hacking and good company is far more important to me. The alternative is to find a place to live with some grazing attached- but that seems to be rarer than hen's teeth!Does anyone have any ideas or personal reccomendations? I would be forever grateful!

I'm selling my house it is right next to a field with a shelter. currently empty with lots of lush grass.pm me if you would like to see the link on rightmove..you would over look the field from your bedrooms!:-)

I am between West Camel & Babcary, not far from Naydon and Kingfisher towards the A303, and I have a vacancy on my private yard. We have decent year round turnout, private storage and a school with a few jumps. I'd be happy to do DIY, Assisted or Part Livery as required.

Don't want to say too much and get accused of Advertising, but PM me if you are interested.

Edited to say: Just realised this is an ancient post, but hey ho!

Sahara, it sounds gorgeous! Not in a position to buy right now, but don't suppose you fancy renting it out, do you?!
Shazza, I think it might be a little bit far for me. How far are you from street?
