Hello

I am thinking about moving my young horse for the winter to another yard where I can get some assistance if/when I need it. Ideally somewhere friendly with schooling facilities, a large or good sized stable (big horse!), the possibility for help with training etc. It seems to be really difficult trying to find anywhere that's not too far out of the way or crazily expensive.

I'm near High Wycombe, so would be looking around Great Kingshill, North Dean/Bryants Bottom, Naphill and Bradenham.

I'm on DIY at the moment which is fine, but this winter I am going to need some help for a month or two, and there aren't currently any other liveries at my existing yard that would be able to help me.

I suppose another route would be to try and find a sharer who could help, but as my horse is only just starting to be lightly backed, I'm not sure about that.

If anyone know's of anywhere please let me know!

Many thanks

Mel

I am in the process of helping someone set up a livery yard in bradenham. It could be up and running in the next month or 2. There is no school at the moment but there is the intention of building one. Other than that it's fab! It will be diy but I'm sure with the other people who are interested that there would be people willing to help. Please pm if interested.

affricks farm, in little kingshill? don't have a number but you could pop in and see them.

There are several small several yards along Hammersley Lane in Penn/Tylers Green - also, Penn Tack and Feeds is there and they have a pretty good noticeboard. I'm guessing that Shardeloes is more than you want to pay?

There's Gravelly Way stables too.

Near Speen there's Upper Warren Farm, Moses Platt Farm in Speen itself. Affricks someone has already mentioned. Would you be prepared to go to Seer Green/Jordans? There are several out there - Oldefields, Waylands, Austens Farm, Widmer Farm and a couple of others/
