Livery Yards in Surrey?

Hello :D

I am looking for a livery yard in Surrey as the one I am at at the moment just doesn't feel like the right place for me anymore. (Don't want to go into details) I have been doing a lot of looking online and getting numbers etc. but before I make any desicions I was wondering if anyone knew of any good stables? They must be in Surrey and not too far away from Cobham, half an hour maximum please :)

I looking for a place which has a really good show jumping feel to it, as I want to start BSJA next year. So it would be good if it has a BHSAI or BHSII show jumping instructor and had an excellent jumping arena (a sand school or paddock) and maybe an indoor school.

I sound so fussy, just any stables in that area, with an excellent jumping arena and teacher please :)

I can highly recommend the Durdan Stables in Epsom Downs - they are in the process of building an outdoor school (they have a gorgeous indoor school) which should be completed by Jan. They dont have a show jumping instructor on site but there are plenty in hacking distance. They also have a full set of show jumps. I think their maybe a bit of a waiting list though for the Durdans Livery, unless you want full livery?

Another place that may suit you better is Sebastien Poirier whom is based in Cobham? Being a professional show jumper, he also offers livery.
 
Hi, Great Bookham equestrian centre is only 15 mins from you, it has jumping fields, an indoor and outdoor school, great hacking and they have competitions all summer as well.
I used to work up the road from it and really miss the riding around there.

Lovely place, I have 2 friends there, 1 on full and the other on grass livery :)
 
try www.cobhamparkstables.com, indoor and outdoor schools, very knowledgable lady running it, full set of SJ and one of the ladies competes BSJA and does lessons. Also regular clinics for SJ and Dressage.

Good luck trying to find somewhere, it took me 4 months to find the right yard!

Bit further out but worth a look is Woodstock South in Claygate.

Surfaced and flood lit jumping school; seperate surfaced, but unlit, dressage school (which has a couple of light jumps in it just now because all bar one of us show jumps!) Horse walker, indoor wash stall, solarium etc. YO is BHS AI and will teach liveries. YO's daughter is on the GB SJ squad so there are some seriously top notch instructors on yard for her you might be able to share (I haven't asked!). YO also coaches to get people through thier BHS stages. Atm she is coaching one through stage 3 and PTT, 3 through stage 2 and 1 through stage 1.

Great freindly liveries - honestly the only yard I have known with no "politics" to speak of.
